Rehearsal for members of the front row of the stage party will be held on Sunday in the Plenary Hall from 2.30pm – 3.00pm.

Convocation and Syme Oration, Sunday 6 May 4.30pm-6.00pm
Guests must be seated in the plenary hall by 4.15pm.

Welcome Cocktail Reception – following the Convocation and Syme Oration, 6.00pm – 7.00pm in the KLCC level 3 foyer.

Culinary and Cultural Experience, Monday 7 May
This is a signature event in this year’s ASC. The Congress Executive realised that most delegates to the 2012 ASC in Kuala Lumpur may have little time to be introduced to the rich cultural heritage of Malaysia, a country that encapsulates Asia in one country. See and taste it all at Monday night’s Culinary and Cultural Experience while you try your hand at henna art or wood carving all the time feasting on a Malaysian extravaganza of their finest foods.

Congress Dinner, The Grand Ballroom, Mandarin Oriental, Wednesday 9 May
The Congress Dinner will feature some of Malaysia’s leading entertainers. Be captivated with a colourful repertoire of creative traditional songs and dances depicting the history of Malaysian communities. The Gamelan Orchestra will also play showcasing the drummers extraordinaire for which Malaysia is famous.

Shopping
In addition to local markets, Kuala Lumpur is home to some of Southeast Asia’s biggest shopping malls. This is testament to Kuala Lumpur’s popularity as a shopping destination among locals and international visitors. Congress hotels are located in the city centre where most of the shopping malls are located.
The city’s temperatures range between 21 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Celsius with average humidity around 82 per cent. Don’t let that deter your need for retail therapy. Malls are all airconditioned so you can shop till you drop in comfort. They are open from 10.00am until 10.00pm. Most retail outlets in shopping centres have fixed prices, but bargaining is expected at night markets, stalls and bazaars.

Child minding
Please check with the concierge at your hotel.
